In my last post, I announced that I was terminating my business relationship with Amazon and looking for a new platform for online sales. I was considering at the time outlets like Shopify and AliExpress. In the end, I decided to take the safe route and go with eBay.
The amazing thing about eBay is I have now been able to expand into international English-speaking markets. This is exciting for me as I have had friends in Canada and Scotland who showed an interest in my book.
In all, I can say my business experience with eBay has so far been 100% positive. They are not hiding my listing (it is actually the first listing that comes up), and they have presented me with more tools and options than Amazon. I would say the only thing I am slightly worried about is having to collect my own sales tax, but that just requires extra concentration. And really, if I am making more money then I have to say that being forced to concentrate a bit more is not the worst fate in the world.
